In the fall of 2012, many of the large “legacy” transmission projects were kicking off in Alberta, and opportunity had knocked. This led to the formation of Apache Powerline Consulting Ltd. in the spring of 2012. Over the years, full ownership has been maintained by the Brown family (the company’s CEO & President, Alex Brown a second-generation lineman, and Lisa Brown, the general manager).
Since our beginning, the global demand for transmission lines has continued to increase. We have transitioned from a single-man consulting company to a reliable small business in the industry. We are primarily recognized for leading or assisting the major EPCs, utilities and large construction contractors in delivering some of Canada’s largest high-profile transmission line projects on time, on budget, with a focus on quality, safety and the environment.
Our client base spans across the western and central provinces of Canada, numerous US states, and includes a select number of international clients. Our dedicated interest in being involved in the global grid expansion and our point of view of “it’s only a plane ride away” has allowed us to capture many unique experiences and opportunities that have kept our journey exciting.
We are grateful to have been a part of many new projects and been given the chance to turn around projects that have neared a compromising position. Both have required heavily leveraging our experience, equipment and long-term relationships to effectively turn around productivity and improve quality, safety, and crew morale through to completion.
We look forward to exploring new opportunities to expand our network and build new relationships as we continue forward with our service offerings.
